Introduction

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) speaker, national executive member, and political leader Raghav Chadha is the youngest member of the Rajya Sabha. He was previously the Vice Chairman of the Delhi Jal Board and a Delhi Assembly Member from Rajendra Nagar.

A member of the India against Corruption movement, led by social activist Anna Hazare, he campaigned against corruption. In addition to being a politician, Raghav Chadha is also a chartered accountant. However, he is currently in the news because of his relationship with Parineeti Chopra.

Life in the early years

Raghav Chadha was born on 11 November 1988 in Delhi. He attended Modern School, Barakhamba Road, and graduated from the University of Delhi after completing his schooling. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) then offered him a Chartered Accountancy course.

Additionally, the London School of Economics offered him a certificate in EMBA. In his early career, he worked at Deloitte, Shyam Malpani, and Grant Thornton.

Life in General

In an interview with Raghav Chadha, where he was asked about the same, he ignored it by saying that he would discuss the same separately in another interview. Having known each other since Raghav was pursuing his certification course at the London School of Economics, they have been close friends for years.

Personal Life

A few months ago, Raghav Chadha was rumoured to be dating Parineeti Chopra. In an interview where he was asked about the relationship, he said that he would address it separately in another interview.

It is reported that he will be engaged to Parineeti Chopra on 13th May 2023.

They’ve known each other since Raghav was pursuing his certification course at the London School of Economics, and they’ve been good friends ever since.

Family

He was born and raised in Delhi. His father’s name is Sunil Chadha, and he is a businessman. There is not much information about his mother, it’s not known whether she is alive or not.

His father was his source of encouragement in his political career. He motivated him to join AAP back in 2012. His family had always been his biggest support and made a lot of sacrifices to provide him with a quality education.

Choosing a career

As a member of India Against Corruption movement led by social activist Anna Hazare in 2011, Raghav Chadha began his political career. In addition to addressing the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, Arvind Kejriwal (current Delhi Chief Minister) during the movement, he was a part of the Aam Aadmi Party from its beginning. The Lokpal bill was his first political task in 2012, drafted with the encouragement of Arvind Kejriwal.

On the winning ticket of the AAP in the Delhi Legislative Assembly elections, he was appointed as AAP’s national treasurer at age 26. While he lost the Lok Sabha elections in 2019, he received the most votes out of the AAP contestants in the South Delhi Parliamentary Constituency, despite losing the election.

In 2020, he contested the Delhi Legislative Assembly election from Rajendra Nagar and emerged victorious, defeating BJP with a margin of 20,058 votes. As a result, he was selected as the vice-chairman of the Delhi Jal Board. Later that same year, he was chosen as the AAP’s Punjab co-in-charge for the Punjab Legislative Assembly election.

This was followed by his nomination two years later to be part of the five members who would represent Punjab in the Rajya Sabha for a six-year term. For his major contribution in bringing overwhelming success to AAP in Punjab where they won 80% of the seats, he was recognized as one of its main architects.

In addition to being a member of the Rajya Sabha, he was also appointed to the Advisory Panel of Punjab by the Chief Minister of Punjab after he won the Punjab elections.

Raghav Chadha’s net worth

Despite having a net worth of about Rs 50 lakhs (approximately), Raghav Chadha lives a very simple life. Although he bought a house worth Rs. 37 lakhs, he also owns a Maruti Swift Dzire and 90 grams of gold jewellery valued at Rs 4,95,000. The aggregate value of his transportable assets is Rs 36,99,471, and he has also made slime financial investments in debentures, bonds, and shares worth Rs 6 lakhs.
