The annual subscription fee for BYJU’S learning app has been reduced to INR 12,000, while the offline center courses are now priced at INR 36,000 per annum. Recently, BYJU’S CEO Raveendran unveiled the company’s new strategy in a meeting with over 1,500 sales associates and managers, highlighting their new model aimed at empowering their sales force and workforce. In that meeting, Raveendran also discussed plans to employ 50,000 salespeople next year.
As we are aware, the implementation of BYJU’S 3.0 is currently underway, positioning the company not only to maintain its leadership status but also to enhance it in the coming years.
The Financial Express (FE) quoted a source saying, “Many of us haven’t managed to sell any courses in the past week, and hence haven’t received any payouts. The perception around the brand remains a challenge for us when we try to convert.”
BYJU’S recent implementation of a revenue-linked payout policy seems to have intensified uncertainty among employees, exacerbating the company’s ongoing issues with high attrition rates and mass resignations. The report quoted a sales executive stating that performance-based incentives are common in sales roles. However, with regular salaries suspended, it adds further uncertainty to our immediate future.
A former BYJU’S product manager mentioned that re-hired employees are being offered salaries 30 to 40 percent less than before.
During a meeting on Wednesday, Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Byju Raveendran urged associates to expand their teams by inviting friends to join as sales representatives and to take on managerial roles.
Additionally, he envisions having a sales force of 50,000 members within the next year.
