CodeHS, the premier computer science teaching platform for K-12 school districts, has launched a new K-12 Artificial Intelligence (AI) curriculum and professional development program. The new CodeHS AI curriculum includes multiple beginning courses for middle and high schools, as well as dozens of K-12 projects that can be used alone or as part of an existing courses.
CodeHS is a complete computer science learning environment. We provide school districts standard-aligned K-12 computer science curriculum, professional development, and a suite of teacher resources such as a coding LMS, an online IDE with real-time collaboration, and much more.
As AI tools continue to transform the technology landscape, districts have a unique chance to build an AI strategy. Recognizing this need, CodeHS has introduced new professional development workshops and courses.
These tools are intended to provide teachers and administrators with the confidence and abilities necessary to effectively teach and deploy artificial intelligence.
The courses are offered in a variety of forms and are customized to K-12 computer science instructors, non-CS teachers, and administrators, ensuring that everyone can take advantage of this unique opportunity
Jeremy and Zach met in their freshman dorm at Stanford, where they founded and ran The Stanford Flipside, a satirical newspaper on campus. They both majored in computer science and spent three years as section leaders, teaching and running the introductory courses.
They founded CodeHS during their final year to provide everyone in the globe with the same opportunity as Stanford computer science students.
Jeremy Keeshin, CEO of CodeHS, commented on the development:
We’re hearing from many districts that they want to do something with AI, but they don’t know what to do yet. This gives district leaders the answer: engaging K-12 projects, new AI courses, and PD that helps educators bring AI into their classrooms.
The company’s goal is to provide every student with the resources they need to make a meaningful difference in the future.
Building an amazing curriculum, tools, and resources to enable high schools to teach computer science, the platform may directly benefit students and help them experience the unlimited computing world.
CodeHS also believes that making computer science education more accessible will empower students to actively shape the future.
CONCLUSION : CodeHS, a K-12 computer science platform, has introduced a new AI curriculum and professional development program. The curriculum includes multiple middle and high school courses and dozens of projects, offering a comprehensive learning environment.
