Vishal Sikka, the ex-Infosys CEO and an expert in artificial intelligence, has been nominated to the board of directors of Oracle a global technology major.
Sikka, 52, is among the world’s top experts in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning and will be helping Oracle in the company’s value and adjust to change, the business based in Redwood Shores, California, mentioned in a statement.
“Vishal is one the world’s leading professionals in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, stated Oracle chairman and CTO Larry Ellison, announcing Sikka to the Board of Directors.
Sikka has recently launched his Artificial Intelligence startup Vianai Systems. Before establishing Vianai, Sikka was a high executive at SAP and the CEO of Infosys. Ellison claimed that Sikka’s expertise and experience make him ideally suited to offer strategic vision and expert advice to Oracle and its customers.

Sikka stated that for years the Oracle database has been the heartbeat and lifeblood of every significant and large organization on the globe.
“Today, Oracle is one of the big 4 cloud companies that provide both Enterprise Application Suites and Secure Infrastructure technologies in a sole unified cloud. Oracle’s special place in each app and infrastructure paves the way in which for enormous innovation and development in the times ahead,” he stated.
