Summary – IITD Introduces Hybrid Electric Vehicles Design Certificate Program
• Designed for engineers in mechanical, electrical, automotive fields.
• 6-month intensive curriculum for professionals transitioning from EVs to HEVs.
• Equips professionals with knowledge of EV/HEV industry.
• Equips professionals with skills to create innovative, eco-friendly, and effective hybrid electric cars.
The Indian Institute of Delhi (IITD) has introduced the first-ever Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) Design Certificate Program.
Specifically created for engineers from mechanical, electrical, automotive, and related fields who want to build a solid foundation in EV/HEV technology, this intensive 6-month curriculum has a significant impact.
Professionals switching from conventional internal combustion engine technology to EVs and HEVs are another target audience.
The training also serves professionals who want to strengthen their knowledge of the EV/HEV industry. It equips them with cutting-edge know-how and abilities to create inventive, eco-friendly, and highly effective hybrid electric cars that satisfy changing market demands.
In order to give participants a comprehensive perspective to spur innovation, the IITD Certificate Programme in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) Design appropriately integrates key concepts spanning thermodynamics, IC engines, electric machines and drives, power electronics, automotive hybridization, and battery design and modeling.
The course’s design includes industry-focused insights, a Capstone project supervised by top IITD academics, live sessions led and created in accordance with the FAME program, and a chance to network within the automotive sector.
Towards the end of the program, there is an optional one-day campus immersion at the IIT Delhi campus, where participants can see the facilities of the Center for Automotive Research and Tribology (CART).
This program’s modules include:The complexity of technology integration, including energy storage systems, battery design, operation, and modeling, and automotive hybridization and electrification (AHE), are among the key topics.
Through this programme, participants will be able to: This text provides an in-depth understanding of internal combustion engines, vehicle hybridization and electrification processes, electric machines and propulsion technologies in hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), energy storage systems, and battery performance testing methods.
Graduates of accredited universities with a diploma in 10+2+3 or engineering degrees in mechanical, electrical, automotive, or related fields are eligible for this program. It will start on September 29, 2024, and cost INR 1,10,000 + GST.
Participants will receive a distinguished certificate of completion from CEP, IIT Delhi, upon successfully completing the program with a minimum grade of 50% and maintaining a minimum attendance of 50%.
One of the 23 IITs established to serve as Centers of Excellence for education, research, and development in science, engineering, and technology in India is the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
The Institute, which was first founded in 1961 as the College of Engineering, was later renamed the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and designated as an Institution of National Importance by the “Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 1963.”
Subsequently, it was granted the status of a Deemed University, endowing it with the authority to determine its own curriculum, administer exams, and confer degrees.
There are over 15738 students who have earned a B.Tech degree. The remaining individuals attained master’s degrees in business administration, engineering, and science. These former students are now employed as company managers, entrepreneurs, scientists, and technicians.
Many of the alumni have abandoned their initial fields of study to pursue careers in administrative services, active politics, or non-governmental organizations. By doing this, they have made a substantial contribution to the development of this country as well as global industrialization.
More than 60,000 students have graduated from IIT Delhi since its founding in a variety of fields, including engineering, management, physical sciences, and humanities and social sciences. Approximately 5070 of them were awarded Ph.D.s.
One of the country’s original five IITs, the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) was created for scientific, engineering, and technological education, research, and development.
The institute has graduated more than 48,000 students in a variety of fields, including engineering, management, physical sciences, humanities, and social sciences, since its founding.
CONCLUSION : The Indian Institute of Delhi has launched the first-ever Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) Design Certificate Program, designed for engineers in mechanical, electrical, automotive, and related fields. The 6-month program equips professionals with cutting-edge knowledge to create eco-friendly, effective hybrid electric cars.
