Additionally, Business Analysts are tasked with sharing insights, learnings, and recommendations derived from their analyses.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Translate business requirements into analytics solution designs, outlining success criteria.
  • Extract and explore data from various sources, including data warehouses.
  • Conduct data modeling and data wrangling to prepare for analysis.
  • Define key performance metrics and develop intuitive dashboards for tracking.
  • Generate an extensive list of hypotheses and conduct hypothesis testing to derive meaningful insights.
  • Develop statistical or machine learning models for deeper problem-solving when necessary.
  • Script automation for periodic tasks like dashboard refresh or model inference.
  • Collaborate with the data engineering team to establish data ingestion processes if needed.
  • Regularly present and share dashboard insights or project results with stakeholders.
  • Ensure project outputs are of high quality, actionable, and consumable, taking corrective measures as needed.
  • Regularly document and share knowledge within the team.
  • Understand and capture business requirements from business or product teams effectively.

Key Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience in a technology-driven company.
  • Strong communication and articulation skills, capable of independently interfacing with stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL is essential.
  • Beginner to Intermediate proficiency in Python or R programming.
  • Prior experience with common BI tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Microstrategy, Metabase, etc.
  • Comfortable utilizing spreadsheets for quick analysis, pivoting, and exploration.
  • Basic automation skills using Google scripting or Microsoft VBA.
  • Proficiency in deeper business problem-solving, demonstrating an ability to explore data in line with business needs.
