Job Description

Role: Lead Data Scientist

Experience: Above 10 years

Description: The individual will be entrusted with overseeing a team of data scientists and driving data-driven decision-making within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage advanced analytics and machine learning models to extract insights and create predictive solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior data scientists, providing technical leadership, and contributing to the overall data science strategy of the company.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver solutions.
• Interact with clients to understand requirements and discuss solutions.
• Set clear goals, assign tasks, and ensure the team’s performance meets or exceeds expectations.
• Identify new data sources and technologies to improve data analysis and modeling capabilities.
• Ensure data privacy and compliance with relevant regulations.

Competencies:

• Total years of required experience in the software industry should be 9+ years.
• Proven experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, and Statistical Analysis.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python and SQL.
• Experience in requirement understanding and solution designing.
• Knowledge of Deep Learning models for solving business problems in Natural Language Processing.
• Proficiency in Generative AI techniques like Prompt Engineering, Vector DB, LLMs such as OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Open-source LLMs is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business questions into data science projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Previous experience in a leadership or management role is typically required.
• Familiarity with using hosted services on the cloud is a plus.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Data Scientist Associate, AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Professional Data Engineer) can be advantageous.
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in a relevant field like Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering.
