Data Scientist – NLP/BERT/Generative AI – Hexware

Job Description:

• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in the field of data science and machine learning, focusing on production-grade solutions. Must have built at least 5 machine learning models and deployed at least 2 of them.
• Proficient in prototyping with Generative AI models, particularly experienced with deep learning techniques such as GPT/BERT for tasks like Q&A, entity extraction, text similarity, and text summarization. Solid understanding of BERT embeddings and other embeddings like Word2Vec/Glove.
• Demonstrated ability to develop proof-of-concepts (POCs) and showcase solutions using Generative AI, including cloud marketplace postings. Stay updated with the latest trends in Generative AI.
• Experience experimenting with Generative AI APIs like Azure Open AI or Vertex AI PaLM API. Good to have exposure in fine-tuning API foundation models and understanding the associated costs and compliance aspects.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python/R and experience with Pyspark/Scala/Spark for scalable data processing.
• Expertise in deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras, with a strong grasp of neural networks, architectures, and optimization techniques. Familiarity with various neural network architectures like CNN, RNN, LSTM, etc., with hands-on implementation experience.
• At least 2 years of domain expertise and client-facing experience, demonstrating the ability to understand and address client requirements effectively.

Secondary Skills:

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and experience leveraging distributed computing for large-scale model training and deployment.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies like Agile or Scrum.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Proficiency in SQL and understanding of AutoML concepts would be advantageous.
