Role & Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end full life cycle development and operations of highly scalable platforms/components.
• Architect and scale engineering platforms to reduce technical debt and enhance performance and agility.
• Drive innovation and swift execution, setting an example through hands-on leadership.
• Develop cutting-edge data/machine learning algorithms and platforms to address complex challenges.
• Collaborate with business and product teams to define requirements, deliverables, and provide necessary engineering expertise.
• Act as the technical authority for scalable platform components, microservices, frontend applications, and data-related engineering initiatives.
• Enhance delivery processes and foster a quality-focused development culture.
• Lead talent management efforts, including hiring, developing, training, and retaining a top-tier team.

Requirements:

• Hands-on technology professional with attention to detail and scalability.
• Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and dynamic startup environment.
• Experience in developing applications using multiple stacks.
• Proven track record of scaling web applications and SOA-based setups.
• Expertise in architecture, design, and delivery of data and scale-intensive applications.
• Strong design skills and the ability to defend design and technology choices.
• Curiosity and passion for solving challenging problems with customer-centricity at the core.
• Excellent prioritization and project management skills.
• Proficiency in Agile frameworks and project tools.
• Expert knowledge in Java, web technologies, and modern UI frameworks.
• Experience leading QA/testing functions and implementing automation techniques.
• Familiarity with high throughput, low latency web services and data sources.
• Proficiency in Linux and experience with AWS architecture.
• Understanding of web paradigms and data engineering/machine learning concepts.

Leadership Experience:

• Strong people management skills, including team building and mentoring.
• Prior experience managing teams of 30+ comprising engineers, leads, and engineering managers.
