Job Description: Varicent Consultant

Responsibilities:

Lead routine conference calls and participate in client-facing meetings, detailing action items and ensuring follow-through on tasks.
Employ knowledge of data preparation activities such as extraction, cleansing, aggregation, and data analysis.
Generate, validate, publish, and deliver reports according to business requirements.
Address ad hoc reporting requests and maintain data quality of production and ad-hoc reports.
Respond promptly to incidents and service requests in line with defined SLAs.
Work on break-fixes and enhancement requests to ensure system functionality and efficiency.
Successfully deliver assigned work on time with high-quality standards.
Develop documentation for delivered solutions to ensure clarity and understanding.
Assist in all phases of testing to ensure the reliability and functionality of the solution.
Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills and logical problem-solving abilities.
Prioritize client support roles and effectively identify and debug issues, leveraging prior experience when applicable.

Qualifications and Experience:

Required:

Minimum of 3+ years’ experience with Varicent (erstwhile IBM SPM) Tool v7 and above.
Experience in working on SPM technologies (preferred), including Application and Maintenance Services (AMS), Support and Maintenance, and Data Integration.
Proficiency in writing database queries and understanding of database concepts.
Ability to design and develop reports and dashboards based on business requirements.
Experience in creating/modifying calculations, views, and data stores in Varicent, as well as handling ad-hoc data change requests.
Familiarity with complex data structures, data extraction from multiple databases, and web reporting portals.
Strong programming skills for structural data validation checks and identification of data discrepancies.
Knowledge of database management tools, SQL, PL/SQL, MS Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
