Senior AI/ML Engineer – Python/Numpy – Robosoft

Job Description:

Role Overview:

As a Senior AI/ML Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role within our embedded team, tasked with implementing and refining AI/ML solutions. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including members from Robosoft and our client’s team in the United Kingdom, you’ll primarily operate in the Greenwich Mean Time zone from India. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around designing, implementing, and delivering high-quality code.

Our current project focuses on deploying OpenAI on Azure using RAG, with potential involvement in alternative LLM solutions. Additionally, you’ll tackle a range of traditional machine learning (ML) projects, spanning predictive modeling, supervised/unsupervised learning, and optimization tasks. Expect to leverage various tools and methods, including bootstrapping, bagging, boosting (including XG Boost), decision trees (like Random Forest), Support Vector Machine, and ensemble models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and optimize AI/ML solutions, initially concentrating on OpenAI deployment on Azure using RAG.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to devise and execute solutions.
• Develop and maintain scalable, efficient codebases.
• Explore and contribute to alternative solution approaches as necessary.
• Engage in classic ML projects, covering predictive modeling, supervised/unsupervised learning, and optimization challenges.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Machine Learning, AI, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering, emphasizing solution implementation and optimization.
• Proficiency in Python, including standard libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn, and Pandas.
• Deep understanding of machine learning principles and algorithms.
• Familiarity with classic ML tools and techniques like bootstrapping, bagging, boosting, decision trees, Support Vector Machine, and ensemble models.
• Previous exposure to platforms like DataRobot and expert.ai would be advantageous.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication and collaboration aptitude.
