About the Role:
The Data Analytics Engineer holds an Individual Contributor role, offering actionable insights to both internal and external stakeholders. They are an integral part of the centralized data team at Freight Tiger, responsible for managing both the compute and publish layer for all products within FT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the strategy, vision, architecture, and execution of data platforms and self-serve data analytics systems.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to meet data requirements, fostering internal and external customer growth.
- Utilize data analytics tools such as PowerBI and Tableau to generate reports and dashboards.
- Work with large data systems including SQL/T-SQL, Hadoop, Presto, Kafka, or Spark Engine.
- Provide relevant data to customers and business teams to conceptualize and build visually appealing yet powerful dashboards.
- Solve ambiguous problems using data and provide actionable business insights.
- Passionate about conducting POCs and introducing the latest software/tools to enhance cost savings, job monitoring, logging, optimization, scalability, and customer experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with big data technologies, data analytics tools, SQL, or any querying language, ETL.
- Experience working with public cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Data warehousing and data modeling experience with star and snowflake schema.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, Scala.
- Excellent data visualization skills to present insights that drive business impact.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working with machine learning models is a plus.
