Job Description: Senior Associate Data Engineering
Role Overview:
As a Senior Associate in Data Engineering at Publicis Sapient, you will play a pivotal role in translating client requirements into technical designs and implementing components for data engineering solutions. Leveraging a deep understanding of data integration and big data design principles, you will contribute to the development of custom solutions or the implementation of package solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in driving design discussions to ensure the overall solution’s effectiveness and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
- Develop functionality for data ingestion from multiple heterogeneous sources in both batch and real-time.
- Build capabilities for data analytics, search, and aggregation.
- Implement and optimize data pipelines using technologies such as HDFS, Sqoop, Kafka, Spark, NiFi, Flink, and others.
- Utilize programming languages such as Java, Scala, or Python for data engineering tasks.
- Employ NoSQL and MPP data platforms like HBase, MongoDB, Cassandra, AWS Redshift, Azure SQLDW, and GCP BigQuery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of data engineering solutions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Big Data technologies.
- Proficiency with the Hadoop stack and related components.
- Working knowledge of real-time data pipelines is advantageous.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Scala, or Python.
- Familiarity with NoSQL and MPP data platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree with 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with traditional ETL tools and database technologies.
- Knowledge of data governance processes and related tools.
- Familiarity with distributed messaging frameworks and microservices architectures.
- Cloud data specialty and relevant Big Data technology certifications.
