The ServiceNow Architect spearheads the design and implementation of expansive ServiceNow solutions across enterprises. This pivotal role demands an in-depth comprehension of the ServiceNow platform, encompassing core functionalities, App Engine Studio, and specialized solutions such as Sourcing & Procurement Ops and Financial Services Operations. Collaborating closely with key stakeholders, IT teams, and ServiceNow developers, the architect ensures that ServiceNow implementations harmonize with business objectives and IT standards, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and delivering remarkable value.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Consultation:

  • Act as the principal ServiceNow strategy consultant for business and IT leadership.
  • Assess business requisites and translate them into impactful ServiceNow solutions.
  • Lead architectural discussions, influencing decisions on ServiceNow implementations.

Design and Implementation:

  • Craft scalable and enduring ServiceNow architectures, integrating with other enterprise systems.
  • Supervise the development and customization of ServiceNow applications utilizing App Engine Studio and other development tools.
  • Ensure successful implementation of specialized solutions like Sourcing & Procurement Ops and Financial Services Operations, tailored to meet specific business demands.

Governance and Best Practices:

  • Forge and enforce ServiceNow best practices and governance frameworks.
  • Guarantee solutions are engineered for performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Manage the ServiceNow upgrade process, ensuring compatibility and minimal disruption.

Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Lead cross-functional teams in designing, developing, and deploying ServiceNow solutions.
  • Foster collaboration among stakeholders, developers, and IT operations teams.
  • Mentor and nurture team members, enhancing their ServiceNow proficiencies.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay abreast of ServiceNow product updates, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Propose and implement enhancements to existing ServiceNow solutions.
  • Foster innovation by exploring new ServiceNow modules and capabilities.

Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:

  • Extensive proficiency with ServiceNow’s core platform and development tools, particularly App Engine Studio.
  • Deep understanding of ServiceNow solutions such as Sourcing & Procurement Ops and Financial Services Operations, Customer Service Management, and Legal Services Delivery.
  • Mastery of scripting languages (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and integration technologies (REST, SOAP).

Experience & Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Certifications in ServiceNow System Administration, Application Development, and specific solutions areas are highly advantageous.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in ServiceNow platform solutions.

Other Preferred Skills:

  • Previous leadership experience in an IT-focused consulting services company.
  • Project Management expertise.
  • Strong grasp of User Experience (UX) concepts pertaining to applications.
  • Certified in agile framework and associated scrum methodology.
  • Experience in Low Code / No Code Development in other technologies like Appian, Mendix, OutSystems, etc.
