Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) has showcased as much as 18 startups at the recently concluded 39th annual GITEX Technology Week held in Dubai World Trade Centre, searching for higher expansion and investor connect to the Middle East.
The 5-day event was held in Dubai World Trade Centre coming from October 6 to 10, an official release said here.
The KSUM pavilion hogged the spotlight on the GITEX 2019, mainly as a result of the new services and products produced by startups that belong to different emerging technology domains, like Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality (VR) as well as Robotics.
Kerala was the one Indian state to place on display startups from different technological channels on the GITEX Future Stars venue, it stated.
Of the 18 startups, Globetec, Treseres, Embright, and Travelspoc got selected in the semi-finals of Embright and supernova Challenge made it to the finals.
Travelspoc moved into the finals of Future Travel contests, it said including that a huge number of startups from across the planet participated in the competitions.
As a lot as 10 startups lapped up possibilities from investors, and 15 startups would connect with company institutions.
Bahrain and KSUM Economic Development Board (EDB), the Gulf country’s expenditure marketing agency, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for jointly advertising innovation in FinTech, Communications and Information Technology (ICT) along with associated appearing areas on the sidelines of this event.
