“EOU investigators found 6 post-dated cheques during the investigation that were issued in favor of criminals who allegedly provided question papers to the candidates ahead of the examination,” said Manavjit Singh Dhillon, Deputy Inspector General of the EOU.
He added, “Inside the safe home where candidates were housed prior to the exam, the EOU inspectors also discovered partially burned exam papers. We’ve requested reference inquiries from the NTA. It hasn’t replied to this yet. As soon as we obtain reference question papers from the NTA, we will transfer the burned question paper to the appropriate forensic lab for analysis.
The NTA reiterated that there was no possibility of paper leaks when it published a document on Wednesday that contained commonly asked questions (FAQs) about the exam.
According to NTA officials, 23 of the 63 cases of students utilizing unfair means that were reported in NEET-UG have resulted in varied degrees of debarment. They did, however, stress that there has been no compromising of the medical entrance exam’s integrity.
A four-person commission was established by the Education Ministry last week to examine the grace marks.
Inconsistencies in the NCERT textbooks were addressed, according to NTA authorities, and as a result, 44 candidates received complete marks and many others saw an increase in their scores, which contributed to the high percentage of perfect results. AAP politician and minister for Delhi, Saurabh Bhardwaj, blasted the Central government over the NEET scandal, saying, “The exam paper was leaked in Bihar on May 4, and the NEET exam was conducted on May 5.
