These wave-like patterns with spikes, crusts, and humps that can be converted into basic human language, which means speech, using Artificial Intelligence along with Deep Learning algorithms. IIT-M on Monday said, “Researchers have developed an artificial intelligence technology to convert brain signals of speech impaired humans into language”.
The researchers can efficiently interpret nature’s signals like the plant photosynthesis process or their response to external forces. Any signal, brain signals, or electrical signals are waveforms that are used in decoding meaningful information using physical law or mathematical transforms like Laplace Transform or Fourier Transform.
Isaac Newton and Jean-Baptiste Joseph Fourier have discovered these science-based languages. The output effect is the ionic current, which presents the flow of ions that are charged particles. These electrically driven ionic current signals are working on to be translated as human language meaning speech. This can inform us what the ions are attempting to speak with us, reported study researcher Vishal Nandigana, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Madras.
When we are successful with this effort, we are going to get electrophysiological data from the neurologists to obtain brain signals of speech impaired humans to know what they’re attempting to communicate, Nandigana said.
The scientists are working on the way these real data signals can be decoded into human languages, for example, English, and in case the real data signal can easily be viewed as an easy human language that all humans can understand.
This allowed the researchers to check the strong electrical signals of the human brain. They tried this idea by getting experimental electrical signals through assessments in the laboratory to have signals from nanofluidic conveyance inside nanopores. The nanopores had been loaded with saline solution and mediated utilizing an electrical field, the Institute said in a declaration.
