1. Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM): Founded in 1898, this American company is one of the largest processors of agricultural commodities worldwide. It produces a wide range of products including food ingredients, animal feed and energy sources for both human and animal consumption. ADM employs over 37,000 people globally and generates annual revenues in excess of $60 billion USD.

Monsanto Company: This American biotechnology corporation is the leading producer of crop protection products such as herbicides, insecticides and fungicides used to ensure the safety and quality of crops around the world. As well as producing seeds for a variety of crops such as corn and wheat, Monsanto also provides technology solutions to its clients in order to improve yields where possible.
3. Cargill Incorporated: Based out of Minnesota USA, Cargill Incorporated constitutes one third of all global grain trade – an impressive feat!
