I joined Scaler in September 2022 after coming across their ads and attending a few of their free masterclasses. Initially, I was quite skeptical about enrolling, but their sales team was very persistent—with regular follow-ups, calls, and even arranging sessions with alumni who also seemed to be part of their marketing process. Eventually, I decided to give it a shot and enrolled.
Looking back, I honestly feel that spending Rs. 3 lakhs on this course was not worth it. In my opinion, the value of the course doesn’t match even half the fee they charge. The only part I found somewhat worthwhile was the Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) module, and that, too, depends entirely on your luck with the instructor. My first instructor was decent, but after I took a course break, I was moved to another batch where the teaching quality dropped significantly. I often had to rely on video recordings from my previous batch just to keep up.
After DSA, the course covers topics like Low-Level Design (LLD), DBMS, and High-Level Design (HLD). Honestly, for someone with experience, these sessions felt extremely basic and unhelpful. From the moment the DBMS module began, I started feeling like I had made a big mistake. It didn’t meet my expectations at all.
To anyone considering joining Scaler: please don’t let the aggressive sales tactics or fancy marketing influence your decision. Do thorough research, talk to independent alumni (not arranged by them), and think carefully before investing such a large amount.
