September 13th is celebrated as Programmer’s Day because it marks the day when the first programmable computer, ENIAC or the Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer, was switched on in 1945. This event kick-started a revolution in computing that led to our current digital world.
Programmer’s Day celebrates this milestone achievement of humanity and serves to honor all programmers who have contributed towards making our lives easier with their tremendous hard work and dedication over the years. On this day, many companies acknowledge their best programming teams by throwing special company events. It also gives an opportunity for tech enthusiasts to celebrate various projects related to technology along with programmers from across the world who come together essentially for one purpose: advancing technology for an improved future for everyone.
