Padhai ka environment nahi tha, na hi ache study material. Mera time aur paise dono barbaad ho gaye.

My personal experience with Skillenable was incredibly unpleasant and disheartening. I had high hopes for this data science course that promised a “Pay After You Get Placed” option with an Income Share Agreement (ISA). However, my experience with them turned out to be a complete waste of time and effort. In fact, after going through the entire process, I would strongly advise against joining this course.

Unfortunately, there are numerous fake courses and scams taking place in India under the guise of data science courses. Regrettably, Skillenable is one of these deceptive institutions. They lure students in with attractive promises but fail to deliver on their commitments.

One of the major issues I encountered with Skillenable was their unprofessional behaviour. From the very start, they were not transparent about their course structure or requirements. Upon enrolling in the course, I was not provided with any information or guidance on what to expect. Instead, they conduct multiple assessment tests which seem more like formalities rather than an accurate way to assess one’s knowledge.

At Skillenable Academy, a lack of transparency and questionable practices seem to be the norm. One such example is their failure to disclose test marks and performance evaluations. Instead, after 15-20 days, they will send you an email requesting a registration fee of 10000 rupees, along with two undated cheques each for 1,00,000 rupees. This sudden demand for a significant amount of money may come as a surprise and raise red flags for prospective students.

But it doesn’t end there. Upon receiving payment, they will share an agreement with you that, upon reading, may leave you in shock. The details and terms outlined in the agreement are often concerning and may not align with what was initially promised or advertised by the academy.

A quick glance at their online presence reveals numerous glowing reviews on various platforms like Google. However, upon closer inspection, it becomes apparent that many of these reviews are suspiciously recent and potentially fake.

After thoroughly researching and reading through various negative reviews, I decided to take a chance and make a payment for a course on this platform. I was curious to see how it would turn out. However, my experience has been nothing short of disappointing. The marketing team constantly bombards me with messages and calls, pressuring me to upgrade to their premium membership. Despite never giving my consent, they went ahead and changed my subscription to the premium option, along with modifying the e-mandate amount.

The course itself consisted of recorded videos, which were not particularly engaging or informative. But what truly infuriated me was when they changed my e-mandate amount and date without my knowledge and even sent me a payment link just two weeks after my initial payment. When I refused to make the additional payment, they blocked my access to the course two weeks before the end of the first month.

To add insult to injury, they have been deducting the full course amount from my bank account every month using ECS.

Almost 2 years back, I have held the position of a trainer at Besant Technologies, utilising my expertise and experience in the field. It has come to my attention that the institution charges students a fee ranging from 15 to 20k, but informs trainers that they have received only 10k, and offers a mere 35% of this amount, equivalent to 3.5k, as payment.

In addition, should we refuse to conduct classes under such unfavourable conditions, the institution resorts to compromising tactics by making false promises of two students in a single batch, thereby enticing trainers with an additional payment of 7000. However, once classes commence, only one student is present and excuses are provided for the absence of the promised second student. This manipulative behaviour is primarily exhibited by individuals such as Bala, Mahesh, Vivek, Muthu, Maruthu and Udhay. Of these individuals, Mahesh stands out as the worst offender due to his tendency to abruptly terminate calls without never calling back.

My recommendation is to avoid enrolling in Datamites institute for data science. The fees are high and you are required to complete the entire course within a specific period of time. Additionally, obtaining a degree in data science is not currently mandatory in Asia for securing a job (this can be confirmed by researching job postings on LinkedIn). If you have a background in mathematics or statistics, it is possible to learn data science on your own with relative ease. However, if you do not have this background, it may require some extra effort to understand certain topics.

A more cost-effective and efficient option would be to enrol in a course on platforms such as Udemy, Coursera, or Udacity for a price range of $10-20 USD and complete the course within one or two weeks. This will provide an overview of the entire data science lifecycle. After completing the course, you can choose specific topics that require further clarification or practice, such as statistics, machine learning, or SQL, and enroll in the specialized courses thereafter.
