Fastest Supercomputer in India are computers with very high processing speed and computational power. They are efficient enough to use in complex departments like aeronautics, weather forecasting, scientific research, pharmaceutical department, and many more.
It uses parallel processing, where a task is divided into modules, assigned to each computer and at last combining all outputs.
Supercomputers are a collection of processors and GPUs stacked together to enhance the computation speed. Supercomputers are of two ways: Cluster supercomputers: grouping several computers placed in a giant room and interconnecting them to perform high computational tasks, all computers are called nodes, and grid supercomputers: interconnecting the globally established computers via the internet or WLAN.
PetaFlops is used to measure the speed of supercomputers.
The fastest supercomputers in the world are Fugako from Japan and IBM’s summit.

Several fastest supercomputers in India play a vital role in making India more powerful and technology-oriented. By 2022 India aims to provide the fastest supercomputers to its twenty-four different Institutes.
List of India’s fastest supercomputer:
PARAM Siddhi AI is the fastest AI-based supercomputer launched in 2015 and ranked 63 among the top 500 supercomputers of the world. It is one of the PARAM series supercomputers developed by the Center for Development of Advanced Computing and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
PARAM Siddhi AI helps in several fields like graphics visualization, deep learning, and virtual learning.
Pratyush secured 107th position among the top 500 supercomputers worldwide in 2021. It is the fourth fastest supercomputer in the world for predicting climate and weather conditions. It was developed in 2018 by the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune. It is used to predict weather conditions under the control of IITM, Pune, and the National Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasting, Noida.
Mihir was developed in 2018 by the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology and ranked 120 among the top 500 supercomputers in the world. It is also used to predict weather conditions.
Aaditya is an IBM iDuplex supercomputer working at the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune. It ranked 116th among the top 500 supercomputers in the world. It is used to predict rainfall in a small area and for meteorological research in Pune.
Intel Sandy Bridge Processor with 2384 computer nodes, 6 PB storage space, and 149TB RAM are features of Aaditya.
PARAM YUVA II is a new version of PARAM YUVA and one of the high computing supercomputers in the PARAM series. It ranks 69 among 500 other supercomputers in the world. INTEL and Netweb Technologies developed it, and the Center for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Pune, is currently using it. The India’s fastest supercomputer serves Weather forecasting, scientific research, space, pharmaceutical development, seismic data analysis, and bioinformatics.
The latest fastest supercomputer in India is PARAM Ananta, with a speed of 838 TF. It is designed jointly with C-DAC and IIT, Gandhinagar.
