India is home to many of the world’s leading technology companies and a strong IT hub. It has become one of the biggest IT hubs in the world with major cities like Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR (National Capital Region), Chennai, Kolkata and Hyderabad driving India’s booming IT industry.
Bangalore is generally considered as the best IT hub in India. It has been nicknamed “The Silicon Valley of India” due to its large number of software firms and start-ups that call this city home. The city accounts for more than 33% of all Indian exports related to information technology services and products alone. It houses some top global companies such as IBM, Microsoft, Oracle and Amazon Web Services among many others along with a wide array of local players.
