I recently took the Almabetter Data Science Course and overall was not impressed with the quality of instruction or content. The course material was presented in a way that felt rushed, and there were many topics that were not explained clearly. Furthermore, some of the teaching methods used did not work for me personally and I found it difficult to keep up with what was being taught.
I also felt like more time could have been spent on topics to ensure proper understanding rather than rushing through them so quickly. All in all, I would recommend looking elsewhere if you want a better quality data science course as this one was far from my expectations.
It is true that you have to pay after placement in courses like Alma Better, however the course is best suited for those with an engineering background and strong knowledge of statistics and mathematics. People from different backgrounds such as science or art may find it difficult to gain the necessary knowledge in order to be successful, as the live lectures only cover certain topics of each module, leaving little room for questions. In addition, there are several criteria that must be met in order to be considered for a placement.
The course offers three chances to pass a submodule test, however if all attempts are unsuccessful or any one module is not passed, then no fees will be refunded. Furthermore, the focus of the course is on completing all modules and some questions on the submodule test are out of syllabus. Out of one hundred students enrolled only ten will have good enough knowledge to get selected; with three chances many still fail to answer correctly.
If you’re looking to gain the most knowledge from a course and secure a good placement afterwards, Alma Better is definitely a good option. However, I would not recommend courses that require you to pay after placement as there are often several hidden criteria that must be met in order for you to qualify. Furthermore, if you are completely new to the field and do not have an engineering background, this course might not be the best option for you.
No, I strongly advise against choosing it. My recommendation comes after 8 months of firsthand experience, marked by significant depression and frustration. The reasons for my dissatisfaction are clear – the structure is subpar, genuine interest in your performance and placement is lacking, and the quality of teaching is exceptionally poor. The projects provided are outdated, and the assignments hold no practical value. Almost 9 out of 10 of your doubts, even if you manage to ask them, will likely remain unresolved, leading to a sense of frustration similar to what I have experienced. I suggest considering better alternatives . Best wishes for your future endeavors.
I have joined Almabetter for data science. I attended a module titled CALCULUS FOR MACHINE LEARNING, where Shivam Sir was teaching us. At the end of the class, he took a quiz and made a startling revelation – he himself answered a question incorrectly! When the answers were revealed, he attempted to cover up his mistake by making nonsensical statements. Upon further investigation, I came to the realization that this module was far from ideal.
First of all, their questions were extremely basic and could easily be found on Google with a simple search – not worth 18,000 rupees! Moreover, there were no one-on-one sessions available with the instructor at AlmaBetter if you needed help or had doubts regarding the material. Furthermore, there was no traditional classroom teaching involved and working on projects required forming groups of at least three people.
In my opinion, data science is something that can be learned independently without much effort. However, it’s important to note that some teachers may lack knowledge and do not truly understand the field. Almabetter are simply doing business.

This entices people from all walks of life to join the program, however, AlmaBetter sets the difficulty level of their courses very high, so that only those with experience or top-tier grades are able to pass.

This leaves AlmaBetter with all of their collected security deposits since these students are unable to claim them due to their inability to join the AlmaX group after failing the interview and selection process.
