Fake promises and what not else, Let me help you to get this thing very clearly. It is consistently a troublesome decision for working experts or understudies who can’t give extended periods to numerous courses for different reasons as their courses are structured a little longer.
The significant disadvantage to many is, The courses are high-priced. r 2-The academic program contains more hypothetical ideas other than project-based Learning (essential to gain live industry experience).
Because of the previously mentioned reasons, I would also suggest you search for different institutes before settling on any choice. Data Science is a field that invites individuals with high down-to-earth news and openness to various constant ventures. Taking on an e-learning stage will assist you with accomplishing that. Heaps of resources can be found on the web, where you can discover phenomenal courses according to your necessities. To kick you off, a couple of ideas are.
They also lack in major things which I felt and this overall hampers to the aspirants who seek for better courses. Lack of specialization in the field of data science as Simplilearn also offers a variety of other programs in the field of management, marketing, etc.
Lack of live interactive sessions as mostly all courses are pre-recorded. Not having lived as well as interactive sessions might decrease your interest in a subject especially in the field of data science which needs focus and attention, and students are more likely to abandon the course if their doubts remain uncleared.
Let me explain a bit what the carrerera job assist program offers.
Resume building assistance: the resume recruiter search for data science jobs roles is indeed a bit different from the non-data science jobs. So it’s an important support at the initial stage of your data science career. But so many professionals paid and online resume services are now available that offer such specialized support. No need to invest such a huge amount for such services.
Interview preparation: The carrerera interview preparation includes offering stacks of study material containing interview questions and respective answers. Now, such study materials are again available for free over the internet.
Job referrals: Once you complete the courses They will offer you few job referrals to different MNCs and startups. But every candidate will get the same referrals, so the competition of getting a data science job from such referrals is a real hurdle.
Waste of time and money. I will suggest everyone go for self-paced modules with providers like Dataquest or DataCamp. Get an understanding of the course, which will eventually build your interest, and when you feel you are ready to move ahead from the free course content to a paid one. I have seen people losing interest and dropping out from the courses; it can be due to any reason, you are not able to understand the concepts, the services informed at the beginning of the course were just a hoax, Mentors are not clearing your doubts, you are not getting responses of your questions on time. Be sensible, be smart. It’s your hard-earned money; use it well.
The ones who have been in this market for a long time or with better course content and Faculty should be the ones charging high fees. These service providers mainly focus on improving their content and spending a lot on market research to provide best-in-class course content and post that spend funds on getting associated with the best of the Faculty, or else they are still very far from the market competition 🙂
It is just that they have created a name/brand for themself, so their value and popularity increase automatically.
Hopefully, you will understand why the fee is high for the course and why you should join it not only for the upgraded course content and Faculty but the services provided by the team as well. Technical support, Mentors doubt clearing sessions, Career Assistance, Capstone projects, Industry internships, and Live projects so much exposure that once you have completed the course, you will get familiarized with your own worth.
In my opinion, It is not the institution which shapes future ready data scientists. They claim to teach you an elective- either natural language processing or deep learning. But the teaching classes of twelve months will end and you will realize that they have only covered very basic concepts of data science, leave alone the elective part (deep learning). In panic you ask them and they will say that all this will be covered during projects. Can you apply any technique to a project which you have not studied? I know that projects are important but without some theory to back it up and how it works, you will be left just able to run a few algorithms without any understanding of when and where and how to apply these techniques. Then in sheer helplessness you will have to take up some other courses from other platforms to gain an understanding. Well now, you are back on square one, was it worth it!
Course fee is extremely high for such a bad course. It is not even worth 5k to be honest. I mean if you want real-time industrial projects and internships, do research and you will find portals offering projects for a small fraction of the cost.
Careerera claims that they provide you an assured internship but they will not provide you anything except for a few students. They are just doing Digital Marketing for their own company and won’t teach you anything. During the course, they give you assignments that are necessary for the completion of the course and all assignments are somewhat useless.
Now you all might be thinking how genuine and kind Careerera is? They care about skill development and contributing to society? The answer is No. Firstly they will cheat you with the course content or brochure they provide on their website. You won’t be taught in that much detail as provided in the brochure of the course curriculum. You will be taught just the basics. Secondly, careerera claims that they provide you an assured internship but they will not provide you anything except for a few students.
so, this is not the right deal for your data science career, You can still find some other better sources.
