Hi, I have pursued Data Analysis and Visualization from Dataquest. It has been 2 months now since I completed the course, and I realized I had made a mistake with their premium membership. First, there is no career guidance, and they did not provide you with a counselor to solve your issues.
They will give you online classes and nothing else. They will not provide training in the industry domain, no internship, no real-life data sets, or anything else. As A Result, you will be a core fresher to the industry; you will not be aware of what the industry demands and what you must do.
You will be confused after doing the course with them. You don’t know what your field of specialization is. You will not know what to do now as no one will guide you on your career path.
The worst part is that they didn’t provide you with mock interviews, so you have any help during your interviews. They didn’t offer a placement facility that could help you to get a job. It’s been two months now, and I didn’t have any job opportunities as everyone requires an experienced person to work. I will not recommend you to get their premium membership program.
Like other beginners in Data Science, I did a lot of research to find out the best online resources to learn data science when I suddenly came across Dataquest.
In the beginning, I was not very impressed with the material on Dataquest’s website, but I soon realized it was an excellent decision after I took their free classes.
It’s a great path to start learning Data Science. The data science track is well thought out; it depends on understanding concepts and knowing by completing small challenges and projects. I tried it myself, and I think it’s worth it. Moreover, Dataquest has a great blog that contains plenty of excellent data science tips and tricks.
The premium subscription gives permission to access the wonderfully designed content and teaches data science through real-time data sets. The data scientist path has been designed systematically, and I feel the subscription opens doors to a very systematic & superior learning experience. It also throws up challenges, which force one to think differently about solutions. In all, I will recommend everyone to go for Dataquest premium membership for those who want to make their career in Data Science. It’s a significant investment if one is passionate about learning Data Science.
Dataquest provides 35 programs with 26 projects in the field of Data Science. It is an excellent platform for those who are beginners in this domain. They provide introductory classes free of cost; anyone can access their intro data courses which is the best part of this institute.
I do not find the data science program by Dataquest justifying the data scientist program’s fees and skill demands. The program has various drawbacks, which I found after going through multiple reviews, including the personal experience of my brother.
Last year, my brother enrolled in the Data Scientist in Python course by Dataquest and was entirely unsatisfied with the course. He found this data science program ad on Instagram and called to inquire about the program. The attendee was very soft-spoken, and she kept behind him until he enrolled in the program. My brother got so impressed, and she said we have a supporting team throughout your journey, but the support was until he registered.
There were no live classes; the course is a self-paced learning program. Ok, they already mentioned it, but my brother faced many difficulties in resolving queries and connecting to the teachers.
The tagline of the data science course is zero to hero in 9 months, but guys, it is a marketing policy. My brother ended the course before its completion as he said that Dataquest is wasting his career time as they need to focus to build a strong foundation of basics.
My brother completed the remaining course by joining other institutes, and after lots of effort and hard work, he got placed in a good MNC. But, Dataquest did not return his money as they said you have no legal ground for a money-back situation.
He said that the trainers are not experienced and mainly cover theoretical concepts, by which, my brother found it difficult to process the real world data by designing ML algorithms.
I suggest you not enroll in this course; it will not help you become a hero in the data science field. It is up to you to decide as per your needs and research.
Hello, I am currently enrolled in Dataquest’s Data Science program. I took their premium membership after taking their free intro course. But now I thought it was my wrong decision to take their premium membership program as all the content that is provided in it is provided on the internet for free.
The program is not systematic as it has to be. It is somehow a waste of money to get their membership. There is no interaction with your peers. The worst part of this membership is that it is renewed automatically. There are so many terms and conditions in their refund policy.
The data science course duration is 9 months, and the purpose behind providing free intro classes is to attract people to have their premium membership. After taking their membership, they will not pay attention to you. They did not provide a job guarantee program. It is up to you how you work on yourself and to get a job. They will not bother anymore with your career; they will do their duty of teaching nothing else.
The fee is somehow very high according to the course curriculum. The curriculum is not systematic learning. There are too many loopholes in the program management and services they provide.
