From my point of view it is a big NO. Great Learning is not a good option for a Data Science program as I found the courses very costly. The cost of the program is not worth it. The fee structure is only affordable for some. There is no benefit of wasting 2,50,00 + GST on them. The faculty could be better because of their behavior, and they are not so known to solve your query.
It is not a joke to make someone’s career. But it seems like they do not take it seriously. They only make money from the students and make fun of their careers. 2.5 lac + GST for no job guarantee is not acceptable.
Even they do not offer any career assistance or career couch. So for the facility’s name, they do not provide any significant benefits after looting such a large amount from the students.
I will not recommend this to anyone to waste money and time. Just do a proper analysis before getting trapped by such Institutions which are taking advantage of helpless job seekers.
Data science is an essential part of IT companies, given the massive amounts of generated data, and is one of the most trending IT fields. Its demand has built over the years, and companies have implemented data science tools and techniques to develop their business and enhance customer satisfaction.
Great learning Course; beware of it before you join the course. They promise on the surface that it’s the world’s best course and tailor-made for the learning aspirant. They say it’s a seven-day money-back guarantee program, don’t fall for it. They say it’s a blended course watching recorded videos and online classes.
The recorded videos are like someone just reading through some content, which is not great. We can even find better-recorded videos on free resources like YouTube. Plenty of trainers are great; the rest claim that they have over a decade of experience but don’t teach like a pro. For every help request I raise, they respond. Faculties regret that they will not be able to help, and this is the best response they can give; always give us a diplomatic answer. One of the issues for the self-recorded videos is the maximum play speed is 1.5X, and even YouTube and others provide 2.0X speed.
When I raised an issue regarding it, they responded, stating that this is the max play speed that their technical team can provide. They did not provide me with much hands-on project experience. Great learning does not focus on Hands-on Experience. The certificate I got after completing my Data Science training was just a piece of paper. It did not help me in getting jobs.
Before that you should know what exactly data science is. In simple words, there’s a huge amount of data available, how would you make sense out of it? Knowing this is equal to Data Science. It is a process of recording, storing, and analyzing data efficiently in order to extract useful information out of it. So for example, Amazon has over 150 million customers in India. How would the brand determine what kind of product the customer will be interested in? That’s how Data Science comes into the picture. But it’s not simple, you need to do a course and keep practicing to get more exposure.
I do not agree with most of the reviews over the internet about Great Learning because, based on my personal experience, I felt the very opposite. They will say 100% placement guarantee, but the truth is they have placed zero students till now, and they have no tie-ups with companies. All the advertisements they show regarding their placement are fake. Personally, what I feel is that data science is not an easy field and with the contents that Great Learning provides, forget about data scientists no one will become a data analyst also.
Generally by completing such courses you are expected to be a good data scientist . They also have an Inexperienced and poor faculty- Before I joined, they had promised good faculty from the industry with more than 15 years experience, but all they gave was some in-house ones with some teaching experience without practical knowledge.
There is no proper course content Just some offline videos of poor quality, no good text content or references. I am not sure why the earlier batches has not taken off but when our batch started, there were 2–3 other batches joining us which made the batch size very big more than 50 people hence lot of time was wasted in doubt clearing and q&a sessions.
No good support from the support team. I think there is one person who is part of the support and he/ she does not reply to all questions, only those which are convenient.

No! not at all! My personal experience is enough to speak about their attitude towards the candidates. Everything is smooth in Great Learning before you join the course and once you are enrolled you will get to see their true colors. The management is not at all responsive, They don’t even bother to hear your queries.
When it comes to the course structure it looks very appealing but when you start attending the classes the level of content they provide is very plain and basic. I wonder by learning these basics Will you be a good data scientist? Not at all, I suggest to whoever is reading this. Be smart enough to avoid such scams.
