Based on my experience with Henry Harvin, I can say that It is one of the best platforms for data science. They have arranged the courses to satisfy all the necessities of working experts with courses appropriate for non-developers and graduates who need to begin their profession in data science and analytics. The content which they provide is very unique and the mock tests are also of high quality. I must say that I am very much impressed with their teaching faculty. The explanations of the mentors are very lucid and you will have a great experience.
Henry Harvin offers the best online training with the most experienced coaches. Most of the mentors currently work as data scientists with 10+ Years of industry experience. No!!!! Its a big no from my end. I had enrolled for the 12 month PG course in data science and it was the worst experience that I ever had and their refund policy just exists for the name sake. The source material of the lectures is very poor and basic, rather then enrolling in their course you can simply watch youtube videos because there is hardly any difference between their content and free you tube videos. So, I would suggest not to waste your time and money in their course.
They provide 2 types of courses, one with placement and one without placement. PG Data Science INR 75000/- and PG Data Science with 100% Job Guarantee INR 150000/- . Well this is the most triggering part, If you want to pursue a career in data science, you will obviously look for a platform which provides placement after completion of their course. But Here at Henry harvin you will have to pay extra for explacement. Isn’t it ridiculous! I mean why should you pay extra!
Okay, if we ignore that part also, The quality of teaching you will be receiving is not worth the price because whatever I have learned from them its totally of no use if I compare it with the level of teaching in other platforms. I suggest you to look for other options like datatrained.
At Henry harvin ,Teachers had too little teaching experience. Data scientists are in high demand, that’s a well-known fact. When I registered for the course, I was given two instructor names, it turned out none of them actually taught us. One of the instructors was actually recruited less than two weeks before the course. With such complex topics as machine learning and little time to prepare, the result was obviously not great. To be fair one instructor worked hard to improve during the course. I knew more than they did, and really it didn’t feel like value for money.
Admittedly, they bring people from all horizons and backgrounds in the class in order to increase revenues. The selection process is light and conducted by non-technical people, so pretty much anyone with very little coding experience can get in. Can you really become a data scientist starting from scratch, keeping in mind it will require you to learn coding, statistics, machine learning and much more? I doubt it.
It gets confusing when it comes to choosing the right institute for a data science course, as there are many options on the internet to avail of the program. “No guidance and suggestions” can lead you to the wrong path or decision.
So I am here to beware you all about such an institute where I have wasted my father’s hard-earned money. Yes, I am talking about Henry Harvin Education.
First, it is not worth your attention. Being a pass out from Henry Harvin I can tell you that The Data Science Course by Henry Harvin Education comes up as the worst course in the market.
There are 2 types of fee structures which are 75k for the PG Data Science program and 1.5 lac for the PG Data Science Program with a 100% job guarantee, which is very high for a 1 yr program. It looks like they charge 75k for placement only.
Also, the environment could be better for learning. The instructor provided to me needs to be more competent. I felt cheated. Please don’t go for it and search for better options for the course.
It is up to you only how hard you work on yourself; never believe in them for your future goal. Only you can do everything for yourself. If you have extra money with you, then go for it; otherwise, beware of such fraudulent institutes, save your hard-earned money, and use it very carefully.
I think I am qualified to answer your queries, I graduated three months ago from this institution, and I still do not have placement bagged in my name. This might sound offensive but they are all frauds! They have wasted my time and money. If you have a look at their website, then it is clearly mentioned that they provide 100% placement. If it is true then where is my placement? I have tried contacting the management so many time but still I do not have any responses from their end. I suggest do not trust them!
When it comes to the atmosphere of the classroom. The class was overall frustrated with the level of teaching/rigorousness of the course. This was highlighted through surveys organized by GA, but GA didn’t seem to take the feedback into account. After the group complained more, we had individual interviews with GA course producers Still no improvement. Then we wrote an open letter to GA administration signed by 94% of the class, which led to another round of individual interviews (during which the staff was not always nice to the students). Only then GA started giving signs of taking our feedback into account.
Looking at the syllabus of the Data Science Course offered by Henry Harvin, it seems they are not covering many important topics step by step. So, a more collective approach is required. Ask yourself first, will it seriously benefit you, or is it just a money and time-consuming drill. If you look and compare it with other platforms like data trained, you would find that similar courses and contents are at a much more affordable price with a more relatable approach.
In order to attract students, they use fancy methods of advertising which is not up to the mark with what their courses hold. Beware of such scams where there is very less opportunity and less growth. Data Science is that domain where the demand for it is increasing rapidly, and in the near future, there will be more demand for it and in order to stand out to the expectations of the market a, proper guidance is required, and it solely depends upon your choices. So, be smart enough to avoid such platforms like Henry Harvin and invest your money, time, and energy in some other platform where you will reach your full potential in the field of Data Science.
