I would rate it 7/10. There are numerous data science course materials available on the internet that provide high-quality teaching and cover all of the fundamentals. There are even academies dedicated specifically to the study of data science. But one thing to keep in mind when seeking for courses is that the institute should also offer domain elective courses.
Coursera is an example of a platform where you can learn the most in-demand data science skills on your own time and from the comfort of your own home. It offers a wide range of courses on a variety of topics. On the ed-tech portal, you may also discover good data science material for a very low price.
Well I would give it 4 stars out of 5 stars. This University of Michigan specialization’s five courses introduce students to data science using the Python programming language.
This skills-based specialization is intended for learners with a basic python or programming background who want to apply statistical, machine learning, information visualization, text analysis, and social network analysis techniques to their data using popular python toolkits such as pandas, matplotlib, scikit-learn, nltk, and networkx.
Introduction to Data Science in Python (course 1), Applied Plotting, Charting, and Data Representation in Python (course 2), and Applied Machine Learning in Python (course 3) should be taken in that order and prior to any specialization course. After that, courses 4 and 5 can be taken in any order. To obtain a certificate, all five must be completed.
I rate it at 8/10. It is a 100% online course and you will obtain a shareable certificate of completion of the course. This course has a flexible Schedule as per students’ needs. In this course you will learn:
1) Conduct an inferential statistical analysis
2) Discern whether a data visualization is good or bad
3) Enhance a data analysis with applied machine learning
4) Analyze the connectivity of a social network
