No, not at all! Never go for a data science course from Coursera. I did a free data science course myself from here. And when I went for the interview, the hiring manager told me that they do not validate the free certifications from Coursera, and my job application got rejected.

It has now become a great community. However, In order to get access to their course you must pay for each course you take. There are few courses that are available free of cost and you will also be given certificates after completing the course. Which is just amazing.
Yes, Coursera provides one of the best courses in the E-learning domain and they are doing great job by providing such great courses at such a reasonable price. I am glad that i enrolled myself in full stack course offered by them. Even if i am from non-technical background I still managed to grasp ech and every concept easily without any issue.
