This is not a good course to start learning data science. I searched for the best data science course to begin my journey as a data science professional. I was surfing the internet and visited the Scaler for a Data Science certification course; they answered my questions with promises as to why I chose their data science course.
Even before enrolling in their data science course, I took free demo classes with one of the top industry experts; he was marvelous and quickly explained the tough topics of DSA with live examples.
But, after paying the full money, the table turned around, teachers changed, omg…..
It is a fake and fraudulent institute. None of the promises by Scaler is genuine. A false learning institute with false promises.
The course is very long and has lots of topics. Scaler does not focus on every topic. In the race to complete the syllabus, teachers completed the topics with only definitions and one example. There were no practical classes and working on software.
DSA has various algorithms, and each one demands practice. Otherwise, you cannot remember and understand them. And the same for ML and data mining. Scaler was just to finish topics.
The career guarantee is not 100% true. During resume building, I emailed to help me prepare; Scaler forwarded a resume template (a copy of resume from Google). I prepared my resume, and there was no mock interview preparation. In the name of career counseling, Scaler advised me to make personalized resumes for every company.
Scaler divided the course into beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. I did not find differences between levels in the course journey, as teachers were randomly teaching.
No particular focus on learning with Github and Pandas.
It is not an industry standard course and will not help you crack your dream data scientist job. I feel Scaler has paid positive reviews to enroll more students to make more profit.
Scaler is a scam running an institute to make money, and its data science course wastes money and time. I have personal experience with its data science course, and it was a very disappointing experience. I joined the Scaler Data Science and Machine Learning Program. The course is divided into 3 modules: Beginner for 14 months, intermediate for 13 months, and advanced for 11 months.
The counselor convinced me to join Scaler for a data science course, but I will not recommend this course to anyone. It took me more than 3 years to complete the course, a very long journey. The classes could have been more productive, and the topics of Beginner level like DSA were not much elaborated; my teacher did not focus on examples of different search algorithms. There should be multiple assignments and practical learning. At the intermediate level, there were 4 weeks of python learning.
The teacher does not have enough experience to teach the use of modules, libraries, and various functions of python. Python is an easy and strictly bounded programming language, but the teacher made it challenging to learn and code. I faced lots of difficulties writing python codes. There was one mentor for 10 students. It is a false promise of 1 on 1 mentor. Our mentor was a faculty member at some engineering college; he was not an industry expert. Coming to the placement assurance with this Data Science and Machine Learning Program is a way of digital marketing. A trap to attract more students as a job is the priority of every career-oriented program, and I also enrolled in this data science program because of the job guarantee. I was placed in a company with the help of Scaler, but I’m still waiting for the joining date, and the rest of my batch mates also are waiting for the joining date.
As per my observation, I suggest you guys say NO to Scaler Academy as They are taking advantage of vulnerable job seekers. Everything written on social media is not genuine or authentic.
Take your time to read and cross-examine, analyze yourself, and then decide whether you want to be in that course and Academy or not; from my point of view, paying 2.5 Lac for a job enrollment course is not affordable for every middle-class Indian graduate and is not worthy anymore.
We can use freely available resources rather than paying a heavy sum for a 5 months course where there is no surety of career growth.
They’re heavily investing in marketing, just like the others. They have started targeting non-tech professionals.
Batch Size: Batch size is a drawback for a data science course. There are more than 150 students in a batch. Even though the institute provides live classes during discussion sessions, job referrals, or mock interview sessions, the large batch size becomes a mess. Naturally, it is the disadvantage of personalized learning support. For the same reason, you must wait a long time to reach your counselor.
The scalar Academy provides online live classes. Although you can interact with your mentor through text chats in these classes but for direct interaction, you must wait for the Query session. So, for freshers or for major doubts, you have to wait for the “Query session,” which can extend your query resolving time, or even you can forget about your doubt.
I will not suggest this Academy from the placement prospectus, and it’s a bit hard to place 150+ candidates in good job positions. You have to make an effort to land the right job.
It is a beginner-level Data Science course. The course is excellent from the perspective of the course module and learning objectives, but from the point of view of fees, it is very expensive.
A heavy sum for a 5 months course is not worth it. Other than beginner level, they also offer Intermediate and Advanced level courses. It is just a waste of time, nothing else.
The course does not have a 100% placement guarantee or money-back policy.
They only offer placement assistance in which they provide the facility to attend and how to crack an interview; that is, they only give knowledge of interview preparation. At such a high fee, it is not worth it that you don’t have a placement guarantee.
They do not have any significant collaboration, so that they can assist you with the placement guarantee.
So please go for the option where you can get the placement guarantee.
With lots of research and promises by Scaler, I decided to join the Data Science Certification Course by Scaler. They beautifully designed the course with 1:1 mentors, internship, placement, and working on the best tools like git, tensor, and more.
I enrolled in this course in January by paying a fat fee amount to become an extraordinary ML expert data scientist. But it was not reality, fake promises, and unprofessional teaching attitude.
My batch started on 15th January, and we were 45 students with 1 teacher. Firstly, the batch size was not proper.
Moving to the course curriculum, the Scaler teaching staff paid less attention to working with Tensor and Git. As both are new terminologies, it took work for me to get friendly. Even the mentor did not support me in solving my queries and was not a 1 on 1 mentor. In reality, we got 1 mentor among 8 students. Every time, my mentor used to say, I will help you in the coming days or would respond to you once I have the solution…very unprofessional.
We were a team of 5 members working on a small project. The project was not a running industrial project but a random small one to show us that we worked on a project. I completed some assignments and quizzes. And the result and feedback of most of them are waiting.
The HR team of Scaler needs to be more active and updated with the latest openings, and the placement assurance is not a genuine promise. We were 45 students, and all 2 of us got placed with the help of Scaler. It is not the way to attract students and make false promises.
I do not like the teaching behavior and am not satisfied with the teacher’s experience. Not an open and industry-standard course to enroll in. I will not recommend this data science course to anyone.
Data science is the hottest topic nowadays. Every candidate looking for a data career is interested in Data Science and its related issues. Data science is the domain that studies vast volumes of data with modern tools and techniques and transforms them into valuable perceptions.
Scaler academy is the best in course curriculum and trainers, but I will not recommend Scaler academy in terms of cost, duration, project quality, placements, etc.
The process of entering in scaler academy comprises an entrance test. You must clear the assessment exam in the entrance test, which is a bit tough for non-technical candidates. Even if you can gain a scholarship after scoring good scores on these tests, scoring up to the mark is quite complex.
Project work offered by scaler academy has excellent quality, but without speedy guidance from experts can deceive your performance. You might remain mismanaged at the end.
of the project.
I will give 50-50 to Scaler academy, as it fulfills all set-up from a theoretical perspective. So, I will recommend it only for working professionals and aspirants having technical knowledge. But for all aspirants, irrespective of their background and experience.
I hope my research will help you in your learning journey.
Always open to solving career-related doubts.
I had a great experience with Scaler Academy. The course was very informative, and I have a lot of knowledge from this Academy. I read several scaler reviews and the instructors were well educated and made the study material easy to understand. I have found it to be quite good. I use the word ‘quit’ because some parts are excellent and some very bad.
*The good part is:
The course curriculum is outstanding. It is up to date with the
requirements of the data science industry domains.
There are a lot of practice question sets to do the practice. The
The quality of the questions is also outstanding.
*The bad part is:
The high fee is not affordable for everyone.
Course duration: The fundamental course is for 47 weeks, including one week of virtual classes. The Advanced Data Science modules consume 4 weeks in addition. Thus, the course durations for basic and advanced levels are 39 weeks and 31 weeks, respectively.
Key features:
Practical sessions
Placement and students’ reviews
Experienced Trainers
Industry-related curriculum
Quality projects
Cost of a program matching its duration
Job assistance
Certification
Scaler academy is the best in a course, curriculum, and trainers.
From a learning and modules point of view, a scaler data science course is the best platform as the institute offers flexible curriculums regarding candidates’ acquaintance and experience. After completing basic and intermediate levels, at the advanced level, you can gain expertise in specialization either in backend or full-stack development.
Scaler data science course curriculum is designed into sections like Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. You can choose as per your level. If you know a minimum about code, I suggest beginner level, whereas if you learn to code well, you can start directly either with Intermediate level or advanced level. The course duration is 15 months if you are fresher, but if you are enrolling in an intermediate program, the course will be completed within 13 months. In the study, you will learn programming, statistical analysis and data analytics, data science and machine learning, deep learning and big data, advanced programming, etc. You can build your portfolio by working on real-life business cases.
No, this is not a good data science course and is not designed as per industry standards. I am very disappointed after joining this course, and 30% of students left it as it was a waste of time and effort. I am a working professional and familiar and comfortable with python.
I joined the advanced-level of Scaler Data Science and Machine Learning Program. There were only weekend classes of 4 hours, which were tedious and unorganized. The program was 11 months, but it took 15 months to complete. There were advanced topics of python, DSA, applied data science, working with tableau, and other tools.
The teachers had no experience in effectively working on tools like Github, using python libraries like pandas and Numpy. The practical sessions were confusing, and the knowledge delivery system was shallow. After course completion, there were projects, and a different faculty was allotted to my batch. He was unclear with his thoughts and teaching, like we already knew how to implement the project. The mentor was not an industry expert; I connected with him to get help on a project. He was very rude and rarely responded to my queries. Scaler is a scam and bragging.
Do not get confused with its placement assurance opportunity. This is a fake promise, as none of my batchmates got help in placement by Scaler. Get your job on your own. The supporting team and teachers are not helpful and experienced. No learning with practical learning, and there are only 2 industry projects. I was trapped with the wrong online institute and had no choice but to complete the course. My doubts were not cleared, and in the recorded classes, there was machine learning through ppt. The promise of 70% practical sessions was not true in my batch. I got no help with resume preparation, and there were no mock interviews. So, do not join this course.
I will not recommend Scaler for a data science course. The courses are less in quality and quantity. Choose wisely and get the best institute for the most demanding data science course.
