I think you need to be a graduate to join a data science course. One time I was inquiring regarding the data science course, and they told me that being a graduate is a must. However, you must confirm this from the institute where you plan to do the course.
You should have good mathematics and statistics knowledge before joining data science. Additionally, you should have good coding knowledge in multiple programming knowledge. Some institutes also require you to have a bachelor’s degree.
Students with backgrounds in mathematics, engineering, economics, statistics, and computer science take data science courses. Students with non-traditional knowledge, such as finance or management, can also enroll in data science courses.
Essential data science course qualifying criteria are a Class 12 diploma with 50 percent aggregate marks and knowledge of basic mathematics and statistics concepts (Probability, Calculus, Algebra).
Candidates must have a minimum of 50% in their undergraduate degree (engineering/math/science/commerce/economics/finance) when applying for a master’s degree in data science.
Must have a basic understanding of programming languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, or R, all of which have critical applications in data science.
Data science graduates should be able to write basic SQL queries and understand machine learning and its techniques.
