TCS is discontinuing permanent work-from-home arrangements due to a general desire among employees to return to their desks for work. However, given the increasing number of Covid cases around the world, the company will continue to take precautionary measures and will not make work from home mandatory.
Because most employees want to work at their desks again, TCS is terminating the permanent work-from-home policy.
TCS is ending permanent work-from-home contracts since most employees prefer to go back to their desks for work. Despite this, the business will continue to exercise prudence and won’t make working from home a must due to the rising number of Covid instances in different parts of the world.
TCS, one of the largest IT companies in India, announced that it would be extending its work from home (WFH) policy for its employees until at least the end of 2021. The news was announced by TCS CEO Rajesh Gopinathan on 22nd April 2021. TCS had initially implemented a six-month WFH policy back in May 2020 as part of its COVID-19 safety measures.
This announcement has come as a welcome relief for many working and studying from home due to pandemic restrictions. It also demonstrates how quickly large organisations can adjust to changing circumstances and shows that WFH is likely to become an increasingly permanent feature across many sectors going forward – especially within technology companies such as TCS.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India’s largest IT services company, has ended its permanent work-from-home policy. The company has asked its employees to return to the workplace three days a week from 1 June 2023. Rajesh Gopinathan, president of
TCS said that the decision was made taking into account feedback from employees. He said most employees want to go back to the office and that the company wants to create a mixed-use workplace where employees can choose to work from home or the office.
