It uses parallel processing, where a task is divided into modules, assigned to each computer and at last combining all outputs.
Supercomputers are a collection of processors and GPUs stacked together to enhance the computation speed. Supercomputers are of two ways: Cluster supercomputers: grouping several computers placed in a giant room and interconnecting them to perform high computational tasks, all computers are called nodes, and grid supercomputers: interconnecting the globally established computers via the internet or WLAN.

Pratyush secured 107th position among the top 500 supercomputers worldwide in 2021. It is the fourth fastest supercomputer in the world for predicting climate and weather conditions. It was developed in 2018 by the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune. It is used to predict weather conditions under the control of IITM, Pune, and the National Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasting, Noida.
Mihir was developed in 2018 by the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology and ranked 120 among the top 500 supercomputers in the world. It is also used to predict weather conditions.
Aaditya is an IBM iDuplex supercomputer working at the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune. It ranked 116th among the top 500 supercomputers in the world. It is used to predict rainfall in a small area and for meteorological research in Pune.

PARAM YUVA II is a new version of PARAM YUVA and one of the high computing supercomputers in the PARAM series. It ranks 69 among 500 other supercomputers in the world.
