Software Development Engineer – Node.js/MongoDB – Smallcase

Responsibilities:

• Develop and design databases to support real-time, high-availability financial data.
• Utilize MongoDB, Redis, JavaScript, and Node.js for development tasks.
• Architect and construct the backend for the corresponding web service using Node.js and related frameworks.
• Create microservices, develop tools, manage servers on AWS, and generate reports as necessary.

Requirements:

• Possess 2-4 years of experience in software development.
• Demonstrated proficiency in systems, architecture, and database fundamentals.
• Previous experience with JavaScript (Node.js) and MongoDB is required.
• Understanding of web development concepts, including REST APIs and server architecture.
• Enthusiasm for building projects from the ground up and making critical decisions.
• Interest or experience in the financial/stock market domain is preferred, with an emphasis on passion over prior experience.
