Job Description: Cloud Operations Engineer

We are seeking a skilled AWS/Azure/GCP Cloud Ops Engineer to join our Cloud Operations Team and support our ambitious delivery plans through technology automation and optimization. In this role, you will contribute to continuous integration and deployment in a challenging and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain infrastructure to support Group Digital Platforms applications and supporting systems.
• Define standards and best practices for AWS technologies adoption by internal and external IT teams.
• Provide support for Identity and Access management lifecycles across AWS accounts.
• Support CI/CD tooling for technical teams to enable build and deployment using pipelines.
• Develop strategies for cost optimization and usage reporting.
• Coordinate the build and deployment of new application environments in collaboration with Project Delivery, Enterprise Architects, Application Support teams, and third-party suppliers.
• Collaborate with Development Teams to resolve defects and ensure controlled production releases.
• Adhere to Change and Configuration management processes, ensuring quality, rigorous testing, and documentation standards are met prior to implementation.
• Monitor and detect issues across the technology landscape, including server, network, application health, etc.
• Manage issue and incident resolution, SLA monitoring & reporting, and compliance trend analysis.

Qualifications:

• Desire to develop knowledge in DevOps practices and tooling.
• Experience with cloud scripting and deployment technologies.
• Strong belief in automating tasks with code for continuous improvement and efficiency.
• Team player mindset with a passion for helping colleagues succeed.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards and sharing knowledge.
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code deployment using Terraform and Jenkins.
• Experience with networks, security, load balancers, and DNS.
• Knowledge of HA, DR, Auto scaling, and Self-Healing methods for enterprise web platforms.
• Proficiency in Jenkins/Code Build/Code Deploy/Code Pipeline for building pipelines.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like CloudWatch/Nagios.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Agile development workflows.
• Proficiency in configuration management apps such as Ansible/Puppet/Chef.
• Experience with container technology like Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Proficiency in scripting languages and code development.
