India has seen a significant rise in edtech companies over the last few years. While there is no single company that could be called the “best”, some of the leading edtech companies in India include Byju’s, Unacademy, Vedantu, Toppr, Cuemath, GradeUp and UpGrad. These companies offer a variety of courses aimed at students ranging from school-going to graduate levels and have established themselves as market leaders in the Indian ed-tech space.
Byju’s provides various programs for KG to class 12th level which are interactive and personalised learning experience. It also focuses on entrance exams such as JEE (Joint Entrance Exam), NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) etc., as well as competitive tests like CAT/GMAT/GRE etc., for higher education admissions with an emphasis on conceptual learning by applying analytical skills to each problem.
Unacademy is an online learning platform with courses focusing on academics and professional skills development including IAS preparation courses, MBA prep courses among others. They also provide live lectures from experienced teachers who are either industry professionals or subject specialists so that learners can get up to date information related to their topics of interest.
Vedantu is one of India’s largest online tutoring platforms that provides personalized one-on-one teacher sessions using video conferencing technology at affordable prices where students can interact directly with teachers instead of passively viewing recorded videos like one would typically do while taking an online course or watching YouTube tutorials.
Toppr offers curriculum based eLearning programmes across Maths & Science subjects for Indian secondary classes 5 – 10th along with comprehensive test preparation services for engineering & medical entrance examinations such as JEE Main & Advanced/NEET/KVPY etc.. The platform uses Artificial Intelligence technology to customize its lessons according to individual need and analyse user performance against peers.
