My review of USMC at IPU is a firm warning against taking admission here for several reasons. Firstly, the syllabus is outdated, being around 10-12 years old. The faculty lacks competence and manners, with subpar knowledge that even UGC and MHRD could use as an example of poor quality in PhD degree holders. The facilities, including equipment for mass communication, are inadequate, with dirty toilets and bland food in the canteen. The institute is led by AK Narula, whose behavior towards students is unbecoming and harassing. Attendance rules are overly strict, with no consideration for genuine issues students may face, and even with perfect attendance, the educational value is negligible. Moreover, the student body is less progressive compared to other institutions like DU, IIMC, Jamia, and JNU. The institute’s placement record is dismal, and unnecessary undertakings are required for basic course choices. Ultimately, this institute is a misuse of Delhi government funds, and its leadership should be aware that their actions may have consequences for their own families in the future.
