I was excited to embark on my journey towards becoming a certified data scientist and decided to enroll in the PGP Data Science certification program offered by Great Learning. After carefully considering my options, I committed to paying the full fee for the program, expecting high-quality education and valuable resources.
However, to my disappointment, my enrollment was unexpectedly cancelled by Great Learning. Not only was I unable to pursue the certification, but I also did not receive a full refund of my payment. This left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied with their services.
Upon further investigation into Great Learning’s claims of affiliations with reputable US colleges, I discovered that their staff is primarily located in China and India rather than the US. This raised concerns for me as it seemed contradictory to their promises of providing an authentic American education experience.
Furthermore, I found that Great Learning does not offer phone support, which made it challenging for me to communicate with them regarding my enrolment and refund issues. This lack of direct communication channels added to my frustration.
INDIA and the Singapore offices have the worst educational platform. I strongly advise against registering with them. The support is terrible, requiring you to stay awake all night if you encounter any problems, particularly with the Indian site. Once they have your money, their responsiveness dwindles. The entire portal is nothing more than a facade. The learning materials are outdated, and lab exercises consistently fail to function properly.
The Great Learning portal is an atrocious experience. Despite completing videos, the system erroneously indicates “Not completed.” Numerous complaints to the program executive have been futile. Their response is audaciously dismissive, suggesting that I need to be more proactive despite having watched 54.7% of the videos. This is a blatant lie, as there is a bug in their software, and the metrics are based on this flawed system.
The materials are antiquated and rife with cheats. I concur with other negative reviews and assert that it doesn’t even merit a single star. The purported 5-star reviews are undoubtedly fake and should not be trusted. I strongly urge everyone to steer clear of this learning site. In my frustration, I have lodged a complaint with the Attorney General’s office, and I encourage others to do the same in their respective states.

Soon I found about Great learning’s data science course. It’s not that an extraordinary course than others but it was suitable as per my needs so I enrolled in this course. One can find many other data science courses that might offer better features, it’s just what suits you more.
The course is good enough, covering all important relevant topics, tools and programming languages. The trainers are also fine although I did not like some of the trainer’s teaching methods. Sometimes they drag non-relevant topics. In terms of Placements, well they do not guarantee placements and I knew that before joining the course.
They claim to provide placement support but it’s just for advertising. After doing the course you are on your own, you will have to find the job yourself. I did too, I did an internship first then based on it I was able to find a job.
On the basis of my search the program met industry requirements in terms of content, and the live virtual classes are a boon in that they assist students tackle problems in the same way that a classroom programme would. The programme costs roughly 2.5 lakhs, however it is far superior to self-paced courses for students who want expert supervision and a well-structured course.
They have their own job platform where people may apply to companies in terms of placement. The majority of them were able to land acceptable jobs, and one even switched from teaching to a career in data analytics.
