My answer is a BIG NO, do not join the course. I was a student of Springboard. It’s been just four months since I completed the course. I met a Data Science Bootcamp course, and I have not received a single call for placement till now; not only me, none of my batchmates received any call or email, and the fees of this course are around 1.5 L, so better think 100 times before taking admission in this academy.
There is not at all a structured curriculum to clear the basics, which is required when you start a Data science journey. They provide a few free online courses of Bootcamp from some old university videos. The mentor assigned to me was unaware of how the whole curriculum worked. Even if you use any free source and plan yourself, it is better than this course. Not at all worth even half of the price paid. Don’t waste your money on this.
I’ve joined Springboard to catch my future goals. But I got the Worst curriculum, a Recorded Data science course session worth nothing.
Even the exercise they offer has no meaning. Most of the time, we fill in the blanks. So you end up learning nothing. This course is not at all designed for working professionals.
Job support is the worst. They just copied job links and asked you to apply for job support. I think that we can do it on our own. I agree one must not waste the money on Springboard.
I am an ex-learner of Springboard’s Data Science BootCamp program, and I am here to help you with my experience of its data science course. Firstly, a big NO from me for this meaningless data science course of just 6 months.
From my research and friends’ belief, I got attracted to this program by seeing the job guarantee, but it is just a fascinating word to attract learners like me. They will not help you to get your dream job by giving lame excuses, no interview, and resume preparation.
I started the course with good learning for 5 days. Afterward, they started running to complete the course in time by providing recorded videos, which were confusing and was difficult to understand the complex concepts of ML as it was completely new, and I felt it was a harder one. But, the springboard faculty was just running to complete the course; this is not a way to teach.
Throughout the course, the unprofessional teachers focused on completing the syllabus without knowing the reaction and learning level of the students. I felt the teachers were just doing their duty to earn through weekend classes and showed no effort to make learning effective for students. Well, when I got stuck in my learning journey, I connected with the support team but their response was so late that it was difficult to relate to other topics.
Springboard’s makes this program a way to earn money with a fascinating fee structure but you have to pay the whole amount as I did. There is no discount or other offers.
This course is only for working professionals with 6 months of experience in programming languages, closing the doors for freshers and other graduates. There were tests and quizzes during the learning period, but they did not check the answer sheets. I got feedback on only 2 or 3 examinations, and the rest have been pending. Waste of money and time with this data science Bootcamp.
Hi, I am a pass-out student of Data Science Bootcamp from Springboard Academy.
My experience with Springboard is outstanding. I am delighted that I made the best decision to join Springboard. Springboard offers a well-curated curriculum with 150+ exercises and capstone projects to learn.
Mentorship of the program is the priority at Springboard. You get a personal mentor and 30-minute calls weekly to keep you on track with your independent “capstone” projects. My mentor is a working professional as a successful data scientist in a well-known company; He is knowledgeable and friendly in behavior.
On top of that, I had a career coach to guide me throughout my course duration. The career coach helped me with all of my materials, like my Resume and portfolio, and reviewed them with him. They also provided mock interviews to prepare for the job interview, and I got helpful tips about how to promote my work and where to find job opportunities.
For me, Springboard helped me to do what I couldn’t do on my own using free online resources and content from the web. The curriculum was good, but the extra support and guidance made it all beneficial to me.
This course was a fantastic experience. I always felt surrounded by help and guidance from the beginning to the end. My favorite part about Springboard was my weekly mentor calls at my own pace. This really helped me receive feedback and my overall growth with the curriculum. I will recommend Springboard’s Data Science Bootcamp to those looking to switch careers.
I also want to mention the feedback system at Springboard. Once we give feedback, they make sure that it is considered and taken into action at once. They ensure every student is treated equally and with equal importance.
As per my observation, NO, It’s not worth the cost, not even 1%.
First, the thing that lured me into their program is their Job guarantee program. Don’t ever fall for that, please.
The mentors, except one or two, have no clue what the course is all about, and they are just doing it for the extra bucks on the weekends. There have been many times when my mentor does not know what he is doing. It’s just not me, though; I have talked with my peers with the same feedback.
Their career counseling sessions will not teach you anything you already don’t know. There was this instance when I completed my course and asked my career coach what support I could expect from them.
If you keep asking them about this, they will ask you to share your Resume but have no doubts you will not hear back from any of the companies through them.
And coming back to the beautiful curriculum they promise, it is just a bunch of youtube videos put together.
I have seen so many people complain that they have finished their course and are not getting most of the things they promised at the time of admission, most of the previous batches. The only work the administration does is that they make sure those people’s messages are deleted.
In final words, If you want to pay more than 1.5 lac for some free youtube videos, inadequate mentoring, and zero career assistance, go for it.
