I started taking classes on Udemy in 2019. Was pleased with the course material. However, as Udemy grew, its customer service got worse. Occasionally, the courses are also subpar. I had an Udemy wallet. I requested a refund as I wasn’t satisfied with the courses.
They said that they couldn’t reimburse after changing the refund policy. Despite my repeated requests, I never received a response. I had money loaded into my wallet from Udemy.
I asked to get my money credited back. I’ve written five times in the last six months, but I haven’t heard back.
One of the worst video player experiences I have ever been through. The 40-hour course I painfully finished was a nightmare, it has nothing to do with internet speed the video just keeps lagging and buffering it even stops playing until I have to reload the page.. it got so frustrating I’m never buying another course.
Udemy is a black box you don’t know what you will get. There are lots of courses with different instructors and different price ranges. You can start from the basics and then go to advanced versions as well. However, there is no link to it, which course needs to be done after the one you have completed. I took the basics of the python course and luckily got a good one at first. Post completing it I enrolled for a suggested course and the content was like the same, I got really disappointed and tried to get in touch with the customer service team to replace the course with another one as I mistakenly paid for the similar course (Which actually was there in the suggested section). I never heard from the team again, nothing from the replacement or refund. As I have mentioned it’s a black box, the courses with good content and explanatory videos are rated low and the courses with high ratings are worse, it could be they are getting more commissions from them to promote the course. Again, if you want to try your luck you can opt for the courses here, you may get a better experience than mine.
