I don’t know about others, but I got placed at accenture due to the upgrad’s support. Upgrad helped fix my interview with the accenture hiring manager. I had good marks in the course projects and assignments that helped me crack the interview.
I think you should not depend on upgrad’s placement guarantee offer. Rather than that, it would be best if you focused on doing hard work and learning all the topics taught in the course curriculum. Then if upgrad provides you placement, it’s good and if not, you can search for your job on your own.
They do not provide any placement “guarantee” but “assistance”. After the completion the course you are on you own. Even if you find a job by yourself, Upgrad count it as their effort and mislead other students into believing that they have provided job.
They will provide you with placement support in the name of the placement guarantee. And maybe if you are in luck and their hiring partner has a vacancy, then there are chances for you to get placement.
Hey, I am from Chandigarh. I did a course from Upgrad in 2020 during the lockdown. After completion of the course, I got placement as an intern. It was a work from home internship that lasted three months.
