They’re good at facilitating discussions for balanced debate, which is helpful. However, their teaching content needs updating. For instance, they still refer to PMs as mini-CEOs, which is outdated. They focus more on roles and responsibilities than on collaboration and partnership. They view agile as only continuous delivery and see Technology as a machine that needs constant feeding from the business, which is limited. They seem to be training organizations to be feature factories. Their trainers claim 20 to 30 years of product management experience, but I question what kind of experience they had that long ago. The field has evolved a lot, and it’s still changing. It would be beneficial if they could keep up with modern thinking and practices. Plus, they’re very expensive.
