Bangalore based bike taxi startup Rapido has reportedly acquired Mumbai based transport fleet tracking analytics firm, Vahanalytics.
The entire team of data scientists working in Vahanalytics has moved to Bangalore to set up the analytics department at Rapido.
Vahanalytics assist transport companies to monitor and automate their automobile fleet operations. Citing a person conscious of the improvement, it was decided to utilize a cash-and-stock component split in between Urbtranz Technologies Pvt. Ltd-operated Vahanalytics’ investors and founders.
Vahanalytics is known for reading the behavioral data of the drivers so that the transport companies can track the performance of the drivers in real-time, track trends so as to help businesses make informed decisions.
Earlier, Vahanalytics had raised $ 200,000 seed funding for venture catalysts.
Rapido had also raised $11.19 million in cash funding from a group of individuals recently. They are competing with the industry conglomerates Ola and Uber.
