Hi, Please do not accept reviews from any source. Check the course content first. What they offer in it, as well as other data science courses available online. Try to enroll in as many courses as possible. Take the beginners data science course first, then any other course.
It is useless if you do not understand data science and are immersed in it using various tools. You can also look into other online courses offered by Udemy, Edx, and others. If you want to learn data science, you should read data science books and also can take the help of online free content.
As for myself, I spent a lot of time researching this topic because I don’t have enough academic background to provide you with an accurate answer. However, I came across a cliché on the internet that I’d like to describe by combining it with my own point of view.
1) Certificates demonstrate your commitment to lifelong learning.
2) Certificates demonstrate that you have the courage and determination to initiate a project based on your own inspiration.
3) Obviously, these qualifications will enhance your CV (and even if they don’t, they won’t hurt you).
4) The courses have already achieved academic relevance because they are verified and delivered by major universities.
5) Finally, where there is money, there is worth (I suppose no one puts it that way).
I would recommend you to go for the Python data science course by Jose Portilla on Udemy however Coursera’s Python Data Science is equally good. I enrolled in Jose’s course and have completed roughly 40% of it. As a result, I’m in a good position to give you a sneak peek at the course.
I wouldn’t call it perfect, but it’s quite good. The course covers a variety of data science and machine learning libraries such as numpy, pandas, matplotlib, seaborn, sklearn, and others. There are sections for each of those.
The videos are great for getting a basic understanding of the libraries. But I don’t think that’s enough to qualify you as a data scientist. Jose’s course will give you a thorough understanding of libraries, while Coursera’s course will force you to think, understand, and apply those concepts.
